On Monday, the 25th of April, 2016. On the occasion of founding of the University of Zakho, and in the presence of Assist. Pro. Dr. Lazgin Abdi Jamil, the president of the University, a football match was held between the women soccer club from the Department of physical Education at the University of Zakho and another club of Duhok governorate and which ended with 2-2 goals.
